Our goal has always been to normalise mental illness by raising awareness, funds and educating the community through street stalls, community events, literature and being a voice for those needing help. By bringing together carers, consumers and the community we have been able to create caring, attractive and functional places outside general government funding. Places  like  “Waratah” Adult Mental Health Unit at Campbelltown Hospital  where we created sensory gardens which connect those who are ill back with nature and rewarding environments to speed recovery.

Beautiful Minds Community Group is a small group of volunteers who are determined to provide better facilities, awareness and assistance in a variety of ways to those with mental illness in South West Sydney (Macarthur).

Our members are ordinary people committed to making extraordinary changes to the lives of people suffering mental illness.

We are a sub-committee of the Schizophrenia Fellowship NSW.  An established non-government community based charity which has been working for over 20 years assisting people with mental illness by providing a whole range of services including information, housing, rehabilitation, social and emotional support.

Our Vision

Our vision is a society in which people with mental illness are valued and assisted in living fulfilling lives.
